Corymbia ficifolia (red-flowering gum) leaves, flower buds and flowers. The species is indigenous to the far south-west coast of Western Australia. The species always has red or vermilion coloured flowers, but hybridises with Corymbia calophylla (marri) in cultivation, resulting in pink-flowering progeny. |
