Free guided tours (up to 2 hours long) of the arboretum by eucalypt expert and arboretum curator Dean Nicolle, beginning twice daily at 10 am and 2 pm. Don't forget a hat and good walking shoes!


Currency Creek Arboretum boasts the world’s largest collection of eucalypt species, with over 900 species and over 10,000 individual trees planted over 32 hectares.

Registrations, bookings and tickets are NOT required - simply turn up on the day in time for one of the guided tours!

Meet at Currency Creek Arboretum, about one hour’s drive south of Adelaide city centre. Follow the signs from Adelaide Place, which joins Alexandrina Road (the Goolwa to Strathalbyn road) about 1.5 km north of Currency Creek, about 19 km south of Ashbourne, and about 26 km south of Strathalbyn.
